When will the club be officially started?

We don't know. It depends how much interest we get, how experienced those potential members are, as well as how easy it proves to get the basic equipment. We will need permission from Stevenage council too.

Is the lake big enough?

It's 400m long, and about 120m wide. While very wide, the length is very small, for a rowing club. Possibly the smallest in the country! This is fine for beginners, but may frustrate more experienced members. Time will tell if this is enough to keep members for the long term.

What does membership cost?

We do not currently have membership costs available.

Do I have to be in my twenties?

Everyone is welcome, of all ages, and all levels of fitness. As long as you are willing to learn a new skill, we want you to join the club.

What about aqua parc?

Aqua parc (www.aquaparcs.co.uk) currently use the lake between early May and late September. It is not practical to use the lake for rowing too, during those months. This is a significant obstacle to starting a rowing club.
